How to get to Dunster

By Train  The nearest train station is Taunton, which is 22 miles from Dunster. There are buses from the station.

By Bus  The number 28 bus, operated by 'First', goes regularly from Taunton to Minehead (passing Taunton Train Station), alight Dunster Steep (on the A39) and walk up into the village, approx. half a mile.

Driving  To Dunster from Taunton is 22 miles, Bristol 65 miles, and London 170 miles. From the M5 Southbound leave at Junction 24 Bridgwater, or M5 Northbound leave at Junction 25 Taunton. Follow signs to Minehead on the A39, and a couple of miles before then there will be signs to Dunster.

Parking  There is free parking in the village High Street, but space is limited. There are lots of spaces in the large Pay-and-Display car park on the approach to the village (adjacent to Dunster Steep, see map below). It costs 4 to park there for the day, and is about a 5 minute stroll to the Barn (via The Ball and Priory Green). Alternatively, we've kindly been given permission to park overnight in the Dunster Castle grounds, using the National Trust car park at the top of the driveway accessed directly off of the A39. Parking here is 2 all day. Once parked, you can make your way down toward the Garden and Barn via Church Street, about a 10 minute stroll.
